The Cal Poly DanceSport Team is hosting our eigth annual Mustang Ball Ballroom DanceSport Competition on Saturday, February 28th, 2015.

The mission of the Mustang Ball is to offer an opportunity for people of all ages to watch and experience the broad multi-cultural aspects of Ballroom, Latin, and Nightclub dances. This unique event will showcase the talents of local dancers, as well as participants from across the state in the dances such as the Waltz, Salsa, Tango, Rumba, Swing, ChaCha, Foxtrot, and Paso Doble. The event will also feature a formation team competition, a collegiate team match, a professional dance showcase, and other fun events throughout the day.

We are building on the success of our last seven competitions. On average, our previous competitions have had over 450 spectators in attendance, and feature up to 200 dance competitors from Cal Poly and other universities across the state competing in 75 separate dance events. The competition is typically covered by news media outlets including KSBY, the Telegram Tribune, the SLO City News and the Mustang Daily.

We would like to invite you to help support this exciting event through your generous sponsorship. As a chartered Cal Poly sports club, the Cal Poly DanceSport Team is a non-profit 501©(3) organization (Tax ID # 95-2308831) that receives only limited funding and support from the University. Hosting the Mustang Ball is an expensive endeavor and your tax-deductible support can help us ensure that this year's event is a success. Listed below are the sponsorship packages that are available:

For a donation of $2,000 or more, you will be the featured event sponsor of the Mustang Ball. Your Name/Logo will be placed on all media and banners, and will receive most prominent placement in the program. Your logo and a link will be listed at the top of the sponsors on our website. Your advertisement will be placed on opening page of our website.

For a donation of $1000 or more, you can sponsor one of the four open level events (for example, International Latin). The event will be listed in the program and announced as being sponsored by your organization or business. The couple winning the event will be presented with a $100 scholarship award in your name. Your logo and a link will be listed on the sponsor page on our website.

We will put up a banner that you provide (typical size 8’ x 3’) on the wall of the competition for a donation of $300 or more. Your logo and a link will be listed on the sponsor page on our website.

We will be offering a competition program listing all of the events and the couples dancing in each event. We have advertising space available in the program for the following minimum donation amounts:

We reserve the right to edit content that may be deemed offensive. We will make every effort to work with you to resolve any questionable ad content. We also reserve the right to resize ads; however, in no circumstances will ads be reduced in size from the purchased ad size. Ads should be designed in grayscale (no color ads) and can be submitted in either print form or digital form via CD or e-mail. Digital submissions should be saved in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MS Word, pdf, jpg, gif, tiff, or png formats.
