The Cal Poly Mustang Ball will be held in a different venue this year: the Multi-Activity Center attached to Cal Poly's Recreation Center. Cal Poly is located in the city of San Luis Obispo, which is near the coast of California approximately halfway (190 miles) between Los Angeles and San Jose. Cal Poly is less than 1 mile from US Highway 101, which runs directly through San Luis Obispo.
Some Cal Poly parking lots do not require permits on weekends and others are enforced 24/7. In particular, the G2 lot near the competition venue requires a permit 24/7. Please read the posted signs to avoid getting a ticket. Do not park in Service Vehicle, 24/7 Staff spaces or loading zones at any time.
The best place to park for the competition is the parking structure (marked on map below) It is normally free to park in the structure. However, if event parking is active and parking attendants are on-site, you may be asked to pay $6-$10 to drive into the structure. If you are already parked in the structure, you may remain there for the entire day.
If you have any questions about parking at Cal Poly, please contact Cal Poly Public Safety at (805) 756-2281.
